Colour has the power to convey different moods in the home. Different shades and tones offer mood enhancing properties dependent on the room they are in.

PAINT BEST FOR BEDROOMS
Blue provides feelings of serenity and protection which is why deep blue painted walls are often suited to a bedroom. It will help you feel enclosed in this space and can be paired with lighter shades of sky blue to break up the look. PAINT BEST FOR CREATIVE SPACES
Lilac is an excellent colour for sparking interest and creativity. This makes it the perfect shade for a craft space, practical office or somewhere you may enjoy a particular hobby. Unusal when it comes to paint colours yet when paired with neutral or even berry tones it will ooze mystery. Try the ‘Dusk’ shade from Zoffany Paints: a misty heather colour with a grey undertone.
PAINT BEST FOR DINING ROOMS
Neutral, warm tones are a great versatile option for dining rooms. This also allows you to be experimental when it comes to soft furnishings and accessories. At RGI we love to play with different textures, adding ‘mix and match’ dining chairs with contrasting fabrics into the equation. If you opt for a warm, soft white this will help to lighten up a dark dining room but also has enough yellow in it to stop the room from feeling bland. Zoffany paint is a fabulous, hardwearing option, in particular the shade ‘Snow’.

Green epitomizes nature, earth and balance. Above all, it is the ‘neutral’ colour choice for nurseries. Green has become popular for expectant parents who are yet to find out the gender of their new arrival. The colour has a calming essence so it could work for many of the rooms in your home, especially if you opt for a muted tone like ‘Boringdon Green No. 295’ from Little Greene Paint. The entrance hall of your home is the first room you and your guests will see so it is important to make a lasting but inviting impression. As entrance halls can often act like the ‘hub’ of activity, with people coming and going, it can be a busy space. If you go for a subtle grey or silver hue it can take the ‘manic’ feelings away and make you feel more subdued.
